Edna comes from a family where music has been a living expression for generations: her grandparents sang naturally and with emotion, and today her three brothers are professional musicians. It was in this sensitive and passionate environment that her love for the art of sound was born.
Since childhood, Edna has maintained an intimate relationship with music. She began her training at an early age with organ and piano studies, which laid a solid foundation for the development of a deep artistic sensibility. Her true vocation emerged during her university years, when she entered the Escuela Superior de Música Sagrada de Guadalajara, where she discovered her passion for lyrical singing.
With a warm and powerful voice, and an expressiveness that balances technique with emotion, Edna transforms each performance into a unique aesthetic experience. Throughout her career, she has perfected her technique with great masters through master classes in Mexico, the United States, and Europe, which has consolidated a mature, precise, and deeply moving vocal performance.
In recent years, she has embarked on a new creative phase with a project that revitalizes bolero and international music from an elegant and stylized perspective. Accompanied by an ensemble of musicians who share her artistic vision, Edna reinterprets classics with an approach that honors their essence, seeking to bring these gems of the traditional repertoire to new generations.
“For me, singing is a way of honoring the memory, beauty, and emotion that unites us as human beings,” says Edna, convinced that music, when made with honesty and respect, can transcend fashions and borders.
She is currently preparing new recording projects and performances that consolidate her reputation as a performer who unites the academic with the popular, the classical with the lively, and the technical with the deeply human.
